Ever wonder who is responsible for overseeing the day and night operations as well as the logistics at McFarling Foods?  That would be Carl Lavoncher.

What is the most interesting part of your job or the highlight of your day at work?

Working with the talented staff we have assembled in operations.

What do you find challenging and rewarding about your work?

Creating and fostering the team environment and keeping our staff focused and challenged while at the same time maintaining the group dynamic of teamwork

Do you have any mentors in your professional life?

I look to my faith in God to direct how I treat others.

What’s the best compliment or advice you’ve ever received?

Our exceptional facility at McFarling Foods and how internal and external customers react when they see the work we have done

Who inspires you?

God and my family come first.

What’s something you’re proud of?

Being a Tribal Councilman for over 30 years as the representative of the Meshingomeshia Clan with the Miami Nation of Indians of Indiana. Having the opportunity to serve my community as a Police Officer in Allen County.

Do you have any hobbies? Any hidden talents?

I love the outdoors. We camp as often as we can.

Are you a sports fan?

Love Football. Love watching the Colts and IU.

Can you speak more than one language?

Yes, Irish. Lol.

How would your friends and family describe you?

Outgoing and humorous.

Fun facts:

Family Life: Married since 1988, 3 kids, and 5 grand kids.
Pets: 2 exceptional cats and 1 miniature schnauzer.
Favorite food: My homemade lasagna.
First job: Working as a farm hand in high school with cutter horses for rodeo.
