Ce’ Ann Oglesby has always understood the value of hard work. “My parents instilled a strong work ethic at an early age. Everyone lent a hand on our 20+ acre property.”

As one of McFarling Foods’ Buyers, Ce’ Ann works every day to build a strong group of suppliers who truly care about supporting independent distributors and our local customers.

Ce’Ann joined McFarling Foods in early 2022, and handles purchasing for produce, disposables, paper products, cleaning supplies. And French fries!

Let’s get to know Ce’ANN:

What is the most interesting part of your job or the highlight of your day at work?

The highlight of my day is providing support to our sales consultants by offering creative solutions to everyday needs. As we are all aware, the last several years have forced us all to move outside our comfort zone and think outside the box in terms of availability of resources.

Do you have any mentors in your professional life?

Our President, John Zombolas, is an incredible mentor. He is a great leader who in my opinion demonstrates what it takes to remain relevant in today’s market by pushing our team to remain flexible and warns against complacency.

What was your first paying job?

Good ole McDonalds, I was a cashier the day after I turned 14 years old.

Family life—married, kids, grandkids?

I have been married for 15 amazing years and we have a 14-year-old daughter and a 21-year-old son who has blessed us with an 18-month-old grandson.

What’s something you’re proud of?

I am proud that I got my bachelor’s degree. I was an adult learner. Shout out to my loving husband, who had to take on the majority of the parenting duties while I focused on school. He is my biggest supporter.

What’s your favorite food?

Pizza, all types. I’d like to think I am a pizza connoisseur.

Do you have any hobbies? Any hidden talents?

I like being outside when it is warm. I also like going to the pool with my sister and mom on the weekends in the Summer.

Do you have any pets?

Our dog, Coco Brownie is a 10-year-old black lab mix rescue who is the best dog anyone could ask for. As long as you have a lid on your trashcan.

Are you a sports fan? Who are your favorite teams?

I like baseball, I really enjoy going to Indians games, sitting outside in the warm air, eating ballpark food, people watching and oh yeah, watching the game too, lol!
