McFarling Foods Salutes Local Frontline Heroes
April 2, 2020To Our Valued Customers:
As our national situation continues to evolve in response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) phenomenon, we at McFarling Foods appreciate the concern about public health and safety. We are closely monitoring all information provided by the World Health Organization and other public health organizations, and taking proper health precautions where warranted. We are also encouraging our team members to take any signs of illness seriously and seek medical attention as needed.
McFarling Foods has every intention of staying open to support our partners in commerce. As your trusted solutions-provider, McFarling is committed to supporting your business in what will certainly be challenging times ahead. As we navigate the future together over the coming weeks, rest assured that McFarling Foods will be here for you.
As a broadline food distributor, we have a deep understanding of the need for precaution and safe handling procedures. Moving forward, we want to emphasize that the safety and well-being of our team members and all those with whom they interact, is our top priority. Therefore, in addition to adhering to our ongoing high standards of operations, McFarling Foods will continue to carefully follow all mandatory guidelines. We encourage all our partners to do the same so that we can mitigate the local negative impact of this global pandemic.
It is important to note that COVID-19 is not considered a food safety concern. The CDC says “currently there is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with food.” USDA reports “There is no evidence at this time to suggest that the Coronavirus is a foodborne pathogen.” According to a statement from the FDA, “we are not aware of any reports at this time of human illnesses that suggest COVID-19 can be transmitted by food or food packaging.”
Thank you for your continued partnership in business.
Sincerely,

John Zombolas
