McFarling Foods has created numerous partnerships with local and community food pantries over the past few months. On this week’s Food Drop Friday, McFarlingdrops in to visit one of those partners, The Lord’s Pantry at Anna’s House in Downtown Indianapolis.
The Lord’s Pantry at Anna’s House is one of the ongoing recipients of McFarling’s USDA Farmers to Families Food Box program. On Friday, June 19, McFarling made their regular delivery to The Lord’s Pantry’s, bringing hundreds of combination food boxes to their headquarters at 303 N. Elder Ave. in Indianapolis.
The Lord’s Pantry is much more than a food pantry, as reflected in their mission statement: The Lord’s Pantry at Anna’s House strives to enhance the lives of those we serve by empowering families through educational programs and nutritional assistance
“First of all, thank you to McFarling Foods for the USDA Food Boxes. They have been a big hit. They have been a blessing!”, says Director of Operations Leticia Juarez. “The Lord’s Pantry provides essential items for over 200 families we serve weekly. This includes food pantry items, personal and household items, books and school supplies.
