McFarling Foods continues to salute local first responders through their ongoing program, Food Drop Friday.
On Friday, June 12, McFarling rolled into Emergency Medical Services of Noblesville headquarters with individual lunches for all 40 on-duty EMT’s. The lunches were freshly prepared by Queso’s Mexican Bar and Grill of Noblesville, a longtime customer of McFarling.
Beginning in July, McFarling will expand Food Drop Friday, to include community educators and other local service providers.
“There are more challenging times ahead for our educators. We want them to know that we support and appreciate them”, says Jason Acquisto, Marketing Manager at McFarling Foods. “So, we will be bringing lunch to school boards and teachers all over the community. That’s Food Drop Friday.”
Other recent highlights from McFarling Foods ongoing outreach to the local community:
- Addition of new food pantry partnership with Fayette County Community Voices, a 501c3 organization Community initiative to positively impact and significantly influence the future of Fayette County, Indiana.
- Expansion of partnership with local ministry MLT Outreach, to include support of a Community Garden Initiative. The garden will provide fresh produce free to the community every month, youth employment and academic credit with business and entrepreneurial classes each week and a shared green space with reading library inside the garden open to the community.
- Continuation of the USDA Farmers to Families Food Box program, which includes distribution of hundreds of thousands of family food boxes to local food pantries and programs
