McFarling Foods Salutes Local Police Officers

Food Drop Friday on Friday, April 17, 2020

To salute local frontline heroes during the outbreak of COVID-19 virus, locally owned McFarling Foods is proud to pay a special tribute to these heroes with their new program: Food Drop Friday.   Our next food drop will take place on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Lawrence Police Department, 5150 N Post Road, Indianapolis, at 11 a.m. and will honor brave police officers that protect our community.

Fort Ben Pub (one of McFarling Foods clients) will provide food packages for the police officers featuring a variety of their pub favorites.

“For the past several weeks, McFarling Foods has made food drops to medical workers, firefighters and now police officers,” says Jason Acquisto, Marketing Manager at McFarling Foods.  “There are no words to describe how special this project is to our company and our partnering restaurants.”

In addition to Food Drop Friday, McFarling Foods continues to step up in new ways to help the community this week, including:

  • Served as Task Force member and sponsor for Faith, Hope and Love, Inc. in the opening of new drive-through food pantry in Castleton
  • Donated thousands of dollars in protein as part of new affiliation with Churches in Mission food pantries in Mooresville and Martinsville
  • Formed partnership with New Wineskin Ministries, in an effort to increase food stability on Indy’s West Side
  • Continued to supply needed transportation and logistics services for Second Helpings
  • Provided additional large outdoor vinyl banners and online advertising for all customers to promote their takeout service
